Just go in and try it out.

Cube, on La Cienega Boulevard just south of Melrose, is the culinary equivalent of The New Yorker.  You feel like you should read it for a dose of erudition, but instead you end up reading the side of a Frosted Flakes cereal box while eating ding dongs and smoking a Kool cigarette on your filthy deck chair.  Let’s get something straight folks: if you find yourself smoking Kools, just give me a call and I’ll give you a free ride to the Cedars emphysema ward.  I mean really…Kools?

Likewise I’ve passed this place a million times thinking I should go in, but I haven’t done so out of sheer laziness.  Well, I went here the other day and while it wasn’t the most orgasmic meal of my life, they have decent wines, tasty pastas, and nice little touches, including chalk-annotated cheeses.

Sometimes the little thoughts warrant our admiration and attention.  Kudos, Cube, kudos.
