Moons Over My Hammy…Gratis
Some of you may have seen Denny’s Superbowl commercial advertising a free Grand Slam breakfast for anybody who shows up today.
I actually didn’t see that commercial. What I did see was a $2 million prime time advertisement for a gluten-induced riot. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see a rather civil line forming outside of the Denny’s on Wilshire Boulevard when I drove by this afternoon.
Good job, Denny’s, for successfully pulling off a potentially ruinous promotion while simultaneously feeding a whole bunch of hungry bellies. It kind of makes me crave a Denver omelette. - H. Lee
