Charlie Sheen has probably eaten here
In a bit of a drunken epiphany the night before, I decided to go to the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel for brunch the next morning with a friend. I am normally a little hesitant to frequent places that double as “Get Shorty” set pieces, but I have to say this place does at least two things right (at a premium):
1) the bloody mary’s are fabulous; and
2) the Caesar salad is done properly - its mixed with large anchovies. 99% of Caesar salads are not made correctly. This one is.
Enjoy the sunshine, enjoy the food, and try not to think about the climate-induced crop failures around the globe resulting in markedly reduced food security for the most vulnerable members of our society. Since you paid $10 for a reduced-rate valet charge, you might as well donate another $10 or more to the Los Angeles Food Bank at http://www.lafoodbank.org/. Completely tax-deductable, folks.
