Cowboys and Turbans
Before I shipped off to Chicago for the weekend, I stopped by Cowboys and Turbans, a tiny Indian street food luncheonette on Wilshire a few blocks west of La Brea. If you need an Indian fix, particularly for lunch, but do not want to commit to a full-fledged Indian meal, this place is ideal. The naanwiches come with masala fries, which are thin cut fries covered in tikka masala sauce. The fries themselves are nothing incredible, but the masala sauce makes it interesting. The chicken naanwich is really tasty, while I thought the tofu one was a little bland. The real star I believe was the tandoori shrimp burrito. Yum! - H. Lee
